John Jenkins is a Liverpool Singer Songwriter who performs either solo or with his bands "John Jenkins and The James Street Band" or a smaller acoustic outfit . A firm favourite on the Local original live music scene, he has received much praise for his songs and their range of diversity. He was joint winner of the 2015 Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge and finalist in 2016 and 2019. His song "Silhouettes" was a finalist in the Uk Country Radio Show song of the year. His song "Looking for that American Dream" was 2020 finalist song of the year and "John Jenkins and the James Street Band" were Band of the year finalists. He is also a Broadcaster of Americana Blues Country and Folk Music at Vintage Radio. His latest Album "Growing Old - Songs from My Front Porch" has received amazing reviews. He signed to "Fretsore Records" in January 2021.
