As usual with many of Mark’s songs, they are very much about the lyrics, and his choosing the right words to perfectly capture his emotions, often with a wonderful twist of irony or humour to reveal some hidden, or naked truth. At times it might seem like the Bone Idols are more a pool of musicians rather than a band with a steady line up, but he has certainly chosen the right ones here, to compliment and bring this collection of songs to life.
