Sydney Carter (1915-2004) was a poet, songwriter and unconventional theologian who was a key figure in the UK’s post-war Folk Revival. His songs such as “Lord Of The Dance” and “When I Needed A Neighbour” have become staples of school assemblies and folk gatherings, and have been covered by countless artists such as Martin Carthy, Bob and Carole Fox and John Kirkpatrick. Colin Bailey will present an hour of Sydney Carter’s much-loved and lesser-known songs in this show for the Graham Steel Music Company’s Online Music Club – From the Artist’s Living Room to Yours .
